I think that error is important. I enjoy inconsistancy, I enjoy change. Expecting a specific outcome from a piece of art removes the joy from its creation! I meld digital and physical media. The transition from pixels to acrylic paint/ink (and vise-versa) welcomes nuances that naturally come with change. I enjoy messily sanding my zinc plates, using a janky heat transfer stencil machine, and allowing my paint to chip. When printmaking or working with unconventional canvases, I hope that my touch is perceived. Not because it is perfect, but because it is mine. My goal is to create messy, jarring, and quirky artworks that allow the medium(s) to come into conflict with me. Simply put, art is the relationship between the material and the artist. I allow my material to outshine my intent, welcoming its slights and jabs.
